[gm]I shall assume that Petron takes it for the time being as he has no potions of healing on his character sheet.[/gm]After about an hour's rest at the shrine to Avandra, you thank Tomlin for his hospitality and dispose of the elf bodies. Suiting yourselves up for the next leg of your journey, you ready your rope, grapples, hooks, and pitons and set out for the Titan Mountains. Even here, you can see them cresting over the horizon in great majesty, the peaks of some climbing high above the clouds. You are reminded of the old tales, which speak of the great Titans who used to dwell there and for which the mountains are named. The breath-taking view certainly helps conjure up the image of giant-sized men of extraordinary powers, capable of phenomenal feats of strength and magic. You just hope that there are no Titans left to assail your passage, as the acerbic nature of these powerful beings is just as legendary. You spend several hours venturing up the foothills before breaking for a mid-afternoon meal in a clearing alongside the path that leads into the mountains and to your eventual destination. As you sit back to rest a bit and allow yourselves to digest, you see Awna get up and wander off a few meters away from the group. She is staring off southward, towards the border of the Johak Empire, a blasted land, even from this vantage point. You know the border lies only a dozen or so kilometers away but from your current height you can see quite a great distance. The foothills eventually give way in the south to a desolate plain of cracked earth and brown land which seems to have lost its fertility eons ago. Awna stands there transfixed.
