Hey everyone! A lot of my family issues are over now so I'm going to move forward with this game. I still have yet to take a lot at Rathan's character and Voda Vosa's character for the final review, but I'll just have to do that when I have the time. My review of Thanee and Vertexx69 didn't turn up a whole lot of major stuff so I'm pretty confident I won't need to make any major corrections to the others. Everyone is free to post their characters to the Rogue's Gallery now. Rathan and Voda Vosa, I'll review your characters later and we can make any absolutely necessary changes (like math errors) when the time comes. For now, I'm going to post up the IC thread. We won't be diving into the dungeon right away. You'll have some time to do some investigating into the plot first. This will give you a chance to roleplay your characters and get a feel for them. At the start of the campaign, your characters are all familiar with each other. You are at least acquaintances by virtue of your great deeds and heroics in and around the central Flanaess. Some of you have possibly adventured with each other before. I'll leave you to figure out the details here in the OOC thread. You are all based in or around the Domain of Greyhawk. No one ever expressed interested in owning a stronghold or a home so you are either itinerant (don't stay in one place for a long time) or you are a renter. Choose your current home from among the communities in or around the Free City of Greyhawk. Greyhawk and Dyvers are two large metropolises with substantial populations and an independent air about them that is quite inviting to adventurers and heroes of all kinds. The nearby Duchy of Urnst, a friendly neighbor of Greyhawk, is another possibility. The region is fairly parochial with most major communities nestled close the Nyr Dyv, a mighty lake. The capital, Leukish, is one such community and the duchy's largest city though nowhere near the size of Greyhawk. There are also a number of smaller communities such as Hardby, Narwell, and Safeton. These locations are not ideal settling grounds for experienced adventurers as yourself, but on occasion one might be found there desiring to escape the hustle and bustle of big city life. At the very least, your character is passingly familiar with the city of Greyhawk and has visited at least a few times. The most powerful guilds in all the Flanaess are centered there and it is also a crossroads for the entire continent, making it perhaps the single most important economic center in the civilized world. To simulate your character's lifestyle and spending without requiring a lot of minutiae, I'm going to use the Upkeep variant in the DMG. Your characters are limited to choosing Common, Good, or Extravagant upkeep. Good and Extravagant upkeep will provide a circumstance bonus on some social interaction checks such as Diplomacy and Gather Information. That's all I can think of for now. I'm going to go start up the IC thread.
