The background assumption on Nuko's part was of course that Jamir is holding the items for the party much like a bank, and that Nuko was perfectly within his rights to make a withdrawal; and that if the others disagreed they would talk about it rather than refusing outright. If Nuko didn't say 'please' that only means he thought the need for such formalities was past; he would not have been so informal with a newly met stranger. When Jamir refused, Nuko saw this as tantamount to theft on the part of the already shady Jamir, and remedying this could justify strong measures on Nuko's part.The best chance to defuse the situation might be if Thrindar somehow steps in at this point.
