During the night, Amina emerges from her little tent laid out near Akilah's and sets out across the desert towards the city. A careless moment, perhaps, on her part leads to what follows. As she glides past Harun, he turns in his sleep and his leg catches her foot. Taken by surprise, Ankabut tumbles to the sand and the commotion is enough to wake him. There's not much to say at that point. A lie will reach Akilah's ears and call everything she says and seems to be into question. So 'Amina' tells Harun the truth. She is planning to investigate the city before sunrise, so that the group can be forewarned. When Harun insists on coming along she contains her irritation behind her veil, and behind her own inscrutable face. Harun's first steps are passably quiet, but not good enough for Ankabut's liking...so she draws on her training. Her hands twist into the old forms, guiding energy from within herself out into the world. The sand curls around her and Harun's feet like a thing coming to life, and the shadows deepen around them. Where they walk becomes firm under them, making no more noise than a carpeted floor might...and shifting in their wake to leave no footprints. "No words. Stay low and behind things or in shadow," Amina instructs Harun tersely. "The spell will not protect you if you make no effort to be hidden." Then she is off, and if Harun hadn't seen her leave he'd have no idea which way to go to follow. She seemed to melt into the desert and vanish entirely, leaving no trace that she was ever there.
