The game went well. The Dire Hippos destroyed their boat and made the survivors walk through the dangerous rain forest of Xen'drik. Much of the equipment was lost. (BAD DM BAD! :D ) Folks got into character quickly. Jenner, a halfling cleric and member of the Dragonmarked house of food began sampling grasses and berries immediately. The TRUST member (think MI 6) Gnome began rattling off information about things. Some accurate, some not. Few knew the difference. Lennington Storm, the Silver Flame Cleric didn't care. We discovered that is a bad thing to explore blue glowing ship wrecks. The Shocking Lizard Swarm nearly killed Filzer in one shot and reduced many others to 1/2 their HPs. Lennington fried it with an overkill of a spell. The Tembos (DARKSUN 3.5) drooled on the halflings food and attacked her. The party was quick to deal with them. The dead hill giant pinned between two swinging trees made the group wonder if this was the way to go. 241, the warforged fighter, opted to roll large round rocks down the path from here on out to set off traps (and give others plenty of warning and time to set up their ambushes :D ) They found the temple they were sent to investigate. Not much here. A lot of fun role playing as 2-4-1 (two PCs for the cost of one) was revealed. His docent began to give orders because SHE was not a slave and wouln't have 241 go where slaves went. Filzer and Jenner decided to explore the mist filled pit (you know- the one that I never detailed and where the true bad guys lived) They decyphered some anceint giant text and explored the temple learning EVERYTHING one could know about the 13 moons of Eberron from their expert Gnome. After some Dire Rats and non combative animals they discovered this place was used to sacrifice people (elves) and that it was STILL in use. The pit stunk and everyone wanted to stay away from it. After 241 ticked off the voice in his head by severely damageing the bridge the group fractured in two. One to leave and one to explore the pit. Tarmac, the Dark Lantern (think CIA) decided to explore the pit. Given a fly spell and a torch he sank into the darkness. Magical darkness that is. He didn't like what was below- An ADVANCED EVOLVED UNDEAD VISCERAL MASS Left off whewre it was slowly pulling him down into it and the smaller versions (Tsochar) were watching and waiting. Good times for all. I will defientely go again and run another game on a Gameday.
