He’s got other (more competent) agents for search and rescue on site already. Sending them was first suggested to him by Wendy, who seemed to reeeeally want to go, and he probably told himself « screw it, this is as good a field test as any, and it will give me eyes on the site » (literally speaking). He’s obviously not concerned for their safety (though I’d still be worried about a skyscraper collapsing on my trillion-dollars machines) and he’s bored and this is something. Then it turns out to be more exciting than anticipated…</blockquote>
