My initial reaction was that the Eye was trying to warn her but I'm not 100% sold on that. Take for instance when the Eye took over the space mechanic, Shmuel. It attacked the acting captain, then, realizing it was in trouble facing Morrow, drew the attention of the xenomorph, which it in turn attempted to fight immediately after. Which indicates an intelligence that it will take a tactical risk (attracting a mutual enemy in an attempt to distract or eliminate an immediate threat). Of course, when you are only risking your "meat puppet" skin, it makes the strategy a little less risky. I do wonder as others have already mentioned the xenomorph's response to the Eye, do the two species come from the same planet?</blockquote>
