The book they didn’t want you to see.

Yesterday, I received a first class package from David Jarvis containing the final Alien Invasion PDF. It contains bonus material, such as an actual Ground Zero radio broadcast dealing with an alien landing in Russia. Also included in the .zip file are the high resolution government installation maps for you to print out if you like. The PDF clocks in at 138 pages and includes a bunch of actual Majestic 12 documents at the back of the PDF.

David hasn’t been heard from since. He indicated he was still being followed and was suffering attacks by Men in Black. His wife has disappeared and he is hell bent on finding her. I wish him luck.

As I was looking through the pdf, I noticed something odd about the layout. It contains graphics that weren’t in the original layout. Normally I wouldn’t think twice about it, but they aren’t in every page. At the back, there is a cryptic poem with two words in bold. I’m wondering to myself if there is some kind of coded message in the document. In the interest of learning more about a message David might have left for us, I am holding a contest.

The first five people to decipher this apparent hidden message will win a free product of their choosing from either Reality Deviant Publications’ catalogue, or RPGObjects’ catalogue. Email answers to webmaster@rpgobjects.com.

How much of this product is crunch and how much fluff? I don't play d20 Modern but am interested in it for other, non-d20, modern day systems. Thanks.

Probably 50% crunch, 50% fluff. There's a lot of information dedicated to the conspiracy, who is involved, how it works, and anomalous phenomena (crop circles, cattle mutilations, etc.).

The conspiracy information is taken from current conspiracy theory. I try to make as much sense out of it as possible and present it in a format that's easy to digest, decade by decade. In addition, David added the Majestic documents themselves, pages and pages of "real" documents about the conspiracy that would be very useful for any campaign involving alien conspiracy.

This is THE authority about the conspiracy, independent of any campaign. It must be, for the MIB to keep threatening me about it. :)

Please don't taunt the representatives of your evil alien overlords.

Wait a second, did I say that out loud? What happened to my inner monologue? Oh, crap, it's a messageboard. No inner monologue. Dang, am I in trouble now. Ah well, back to CIA black ops. Better pension.

I have to say this has been one of the coolest ideas for an ad campaign I've ever seen for any RPG product.

So when when will this be available at the EN World store?

RDP is an RPGObjects imprint now, and RPGObjects does not have an ENGS outlet.

On the plus side, this product has support in RPGO's Modern Character Generator.

Out of curiousity, has anyone been able to decipher the code yet?

Thanks for your kind words! I had alot of fun promoting this. I wish it was on enworld, but contractual obligations prevent me from doing so.
