I had internet problems last night and I wasn't able to post the follow up I wanted - which was a synthesis of the data. I should note that this covers 3 different groups of players/GM, with me being the common denominator Total number of PCs: 47 Class breakdown: (multi class counts as "half") Artificer 4 Barbarian 2.5 Bard: 1 Cleric 4 Druid 6 Fighter 5.5 Monk 4 Paladin 4 Ranger 4 Rogue 3.5 Sorcerer 0.5 Warlock 2.5 Wizard 4 So now a few conclusions from my data and experience:

Fighters and druids are the most popular, sorcerers and bards the least.
Most classes are roughly equality popular
Is this data representative? I don't know, but I've played in a lot of game. If we conclude that it is not big enough of a sample to be representative, I would posit that most people's experience is not representative either.
No game went beyond 10th level
Player skill has a huge impact on PC effectiveness, moreso than the class/subclass
Party composition has a big impact on effectiveness - in particular, the combo of a twilight cleric and a summoner is massive.
The game/GM also has a big impact. In our SKT's game we had a "burly" party for most of the campaign, and... well doing lost of damage is great vs giants, but it's not like low HP is a weakness of the giants...
Smart RP and tactics are very important - in the same game, we talked our way out of some battles, which is worth more than any DPR build...
Monks can be fun and effective, or terrible, depending on the player and the game.
