Hello folks! Alpha Star Magazine Issue #1 funded and is being fulfilled. I am now gearing up to make Issue #2. Alpha Star is the sci-fi equivalent to Gate Pass Gazette, and supports the Voidrunner's Codex. The floor is now open for pitches for article for the upcoming issues throughout 2026. You can pitch any time between now and the end of this year (December 31st, 2025--though I don't expect people to be actually sending off pitches on New Year's Eve!) Here's how a pitch works: 1. Send an email to me at morrus at enpublishingrpg dot com with the title 'ALPHA STAR PITCH'. 2. You can include up to 3 pitches in your email. A pitch should include the proposed article title, and a one-paragraph description of the article contents. 3. It would be very helpful to include a link to an example of your work. It's not required, but it helps me figure out what my editing overhead is going to be! 4. Include your name as you wish to be credited. You can pitch for any type of article you wish, but I do ask that it be rules-based, not lore-based--i.e. it should have plenty of crunchy stuff, rather than plenty of fiction. I do wish to include at least one Star Captain's Manual type article in the next issue, so that we support starship stuff as well as ground-based stuff. If pitching multiple articles, try to vary them. 3 pitches for psionic subclasses is not as likely to work as 3 pitches for psionic subclasses, a heritage, and a new starship. Articles should be 2,000 words or less. I am also open to pitches for short adventures of 5,000 words or less. Ideally the next issue will include at least 2 voidrunner articles, 1 star captain article, and one short adventure, although everything depends on the pitches I get. Thanks folks, and good luck!
