First Post
So the first thing I can definitely use is a link to all of the Gygax threads on ENworld, as well as those on other sites I may not be aware of. Since I don't have a working search function here, and Google isn't co-operating with me, these links would be greatly appreciated.
Next, someone with a decent/functional knowledge of how to edit Wikipedia would also be enormously helpful.
The idea is to make the FAQ readily accessible, and we will also be getting material from other sites, (DragonsFoot, etc) that we have similar FAQ threads.
Next, Gary's work also intersected with that of Jim Ward, Rob Kuntz, and others, so a seperate page for each creative would be good, with hyperlinks between the pages.
Next besides a topical organization, there will also be an organization based on each published work, on a per page basis. For example:
1st Ed. AD&D DMG
....
....
page 56 What does this mean? blah blah blah
page 72 Why are gas and immersion considered separately? Because one is flows to lowest areas, the other drifts with wind currents.
page 103 Who drew that dumb cartoon? You did. Blah blah blah
....
....
...and so on.
I am planning on doing the initial compiling/sifting etc. I will run it by Gary to look over, then ask whoever ends up being Mr. Wiki to post it, etc.
This will be done incrementally, in chunks of 5 pages of Q&A for example. I am not going to do all bajillion pages at once.
We'll also need to make sure each creative has "edit/comment authority" on each respective web page.
Since this will be a project requiring collaboration across different websites, edition wars will not be tolerated. The opinion of each creative will be accurately quoted, and will be subject to their final approval/veto, as previously noted.
Alright, so thats our starting template.
Now, WHO'S WITH ME??
