But a Cantrip requires no action or concentration to recharge and can be used every time, so that's the baseline.</p><p>You might want the damage to scale with levels like Cantrips do, too, otherwise it becomes a lot less interesting to use at high levels.</p><p>The baseline would probably be something like 2.<em>x</em> Cantrips worth of damage for 1-action-reload, and 1.<em>y</em> Cantrips worth of average damage for 1-bonus-action-reloads. That is assuming you can really make only one attack per turn and can't use your second attack with a different weapon.</p></blockquote><p></p>
