Am I a Community Supporter now?

Ok. I made my donation through Expeditious Retreat Press. I donated $35 so I would be a Community Supporter. When will I know that I can start using the Search, Private Messaging, Who's Online and Custom Titles features?

They have over 300 Community Supporter accounts to updates, so I'm thinking it could take a week or two. I'm looking forward to it, too, though.

Personally, I can't wait until Morrus can use some of this money to get a kickin' server to stop the slow times in the boards!

Seems to me that tracking and collating, matching who with what for over 600 ( so far ) individual contributors, and setting them up with CS accounts is going to be a nightmare. And an uneccessary one.

I'm going to make a bold prediction that the decision will be made to have a general board upgrade made possible by everyones donations, enabling everyone to access search capablities and choose a customised title.

The bandwidth limitation issues for not allowing this in the past will be gone. Future fundraisers will eliminate the need for the old, akward community supporters model.

Whether or not you were able to donate yesterday, today, or in the next few days, we are ALL community supporters of ENWorld.

I'm just happy the place is still here today. I'm sure it will take some time to get everything worked out (the expedious retreat thread in general is 9 pages long, it will take a while to go through and match all those names to user names.) I'm sure before they tackle that they will want to make sure they have a long term plan to insure the communities survival.

I went through the 40-50 people of mine from last night, and the ones who used an e-mail address I could match were promoted to community supporter. The others I will have to e-mail and have them send me their username so I can do that.

After the dust settles, I think Russ can maybe split the Exp Ret list amongst me, himself and Piratecat and we can get that taken care of over the course of a couple of weeks.

I signed up for a Community Supporter Account yesterday before Morrus pointed out the time lag in receiving payment. I also tossed a bit in through EXP. It will be cool to have Community Supporter status, but I am happy to wait for the dust to settle.

I am thinking that Morrus needs a few good night's sleep and that is a worthy cause in my book. The rest of you are also busy in RL. Please, get to it when you can, but don't feel like you need to break yourselves doing it.

I don't exactly care about when (that's not why I donated) but I do care about how we'll know we are now community supporters.

Will we get an email? Will there be a gigantic pop-up window saying "congratulations you are now a community supporter"? Will jack-booted thugs bust into my house and rough me up because I'm a community supporter and I didn't make myself a custom title?

We'd all like to know....

just_al, I'm not sure, but keep an eye on your title (under your username). I suspect it will change to Community Supporter or something. Then you should be able to go in and change it.

But that's just a guess.

Since I only donated 20 bucks, will my CS account be considered renewed? I think it's nearly getting to that time of year again...
