Pathfinder 1E Am I ready for Pathfinder, and if not, when?

Alright, I guess I should bump because last week I gotten around to playing Pathfinder.

Maybe it's because I played it with friends, but I found the sample adventure in the starter box to be a lot better than the one in Dungeons and Dragons and enjoyed the overall adventure. It actually is really simple if you're experienced with Dungeons and Dragons.

The online resources for PF are excellent.

You might find the Paizo SRD a little easier to get to manage initially, as it is divided into books.

The d20PFSRD covers everything, including 3rd party material, which can make it a bit overwhelming.

Glad you found another system that you liked. Pathfinder isn't that complicated. The biggest problems my group had was thinking certain iconic spells worked the same in 3.5 and PF.

Also if you find certain things you liked in 4e, there is nothing stopping you from bringing it over to pathfinder (or PF to 4e). For example, many of my players liked the concept of minions in 4e, so minions are occasionally used in my PF campaign.

Unlike what one of your previous posters said, it is completely doable to create PF monsters on the fly. It just takes a little experience with DMing PF and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your group of PCs. With two other DMs in the group it becomes desirable to throw the occasional monster they've never heard of.
