Amazon is now listing availability for the D&D Gift Set as June 16th, and says "We thought you should know that we're experiencing a delay with your order. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please take note of the revised shipping and delivery estimates marked in red below." regarding my pre-order of the set.

I had ordered a spare copy of the PHB to give to a friend, and that has already shipped. I may borrow that until I get my own books. Looks like I should have stuck with the individual books. It also looks like Amazon further reduced the price of the set, but that may just be rolling the pre-order discount in, since it's not a pre-order anymore.

Nope, its happening to US customers too. I pre-ordered on Feb 7th too, yet my order is backordered, while people that ordered later than I did are getting their books. It really makes me mad considering I have an Amazon distribution center about 40 minutes from where I live.

I call shennanigans!

So I canceled and just ordered the books individually. I guess to get my fix for the weekend I'll have to go try to find a copy of the Player's handbook somewhere.

Weird. I ordered the 7th as well, and my order still shows shipping on monday (w/Supersaver). I guess I'll find out then.

FLGS is not an option for some of us. I will be patient, but I wish I didn't have to do stuff like swapping my shipping adress to get it updated.

$120 AUD at LGS vs. $69 AUD from Amazon. If I could spare the cash I'd go down to an LGS right now and get the PHB but I just can't.

I'll just have to wait.
