So, now you've got me thinking how I would go about designing such a class.
Nope. I'm stumped.
But. . . those of you from California who remember your fourth grade California History class might remember that California was named after a mythical island once supposed to be just west of North America. This island was said to be overflowing with gold and other natural resources (true), inhabited entirely by women (not true), and guarded by fierce griffons. (semi-true; actually just cost of living, but that's more effective anyhow).
This has me thinking about a cultural group of female gryphon-riders. They should wield spears. Spears are cool. And they should, of course, be excellent archers. These women could be immortal, comanded by the gods to guard all of that cool treasure. They could be lesbians, perhaps suffering the company of captured male intruders only long enough for them to serve the communities peculiar need, or . . . or! better yet, those born into this society who end up heterosexual are banished to the outside world, given enough wealth to get started, and commanded to bring back their daughters to be raised by the amazons . . . [plot hook] what if one did not want to give up her daughter, and kidnapped some baby the PC's care about instead[/plot hook], or perhaps these warriors reproduce asexually, or maybe they actually have both sexes, but present wild sexual dimorphism. Maybe the males are just small parasitic creatures that live in symbiosis with the females . . . oh! oh! and the males are all psions or warlocks. "She thrusts her spear violently towards you, and though it narrowly missed you, the arc of fire emanating from her middrift does not: take 8 fire damage!"
What do y'all think?
