** Amberzine XII - Call for Stories **
"Amber was the greatest city which had ever existed or ever would exist. Amber had always been and always would be, and every other city, everywhere, every other city that existed was but a reflection of a shadow of some phase of Amber." (Corwin in Roger Zelazny's Nine Princes in Amber)
Some of those reflections are the games that we're playing, the stories that we're sharing, some of which we end writing down. The best of those stories are collected in Amberzine.
Amberzine exists thanks to Roger Zelazny's generosity in letting his fans -- readers and gamers -- share their visions of his work. It exists thanks to those talented fans who transform tabletop tales shared with friends into ones that can be read and enjoyed by every Amber lover.
We need more such tales. http://www.trumpstudio.com]Michael Kucharski[/URL], the original Amber DRPG illustrator, is the editor for Amberzine XII. (You can believe it'll look good!) He left me in charge of collecting texts and making a pre-selection.
Do you have Amber stories that beg to extend beyond the borders of your gaming table? Can you write those stories so that anyone can enjoy them, or at least anyone familiar with Amber? If yes, send them my way:
Amberzine_XII@hotmail.com
Length: between 4000 and 15000 words (or, between 18000 and 66000 characters, with spaces). All texts must be the property of the person presenting them; moreover, they mustn't have been published already, including on a webpage.
The deadline is June 1, 2004, at what time Michael will select the best submissions among those I'll have forwarded. If there aren't enough he wishes to publish, the call for stories shall be extended.
Erick Wujcik provides important precisions, including monetary ones, in this RPG.net thread.
If you have questions, please post here or get in touch with me.
