This is odd, I have actually used both of the items listed here before, quiet recently in fact. The club was from the branch of a tree of life. It healed everything in came in contact with, whether you wanted it to or not. The Neverburning Candle can be used by a PC to rub the wax all over themselves and their armor, it will never burn, giving them great or total resistance to heat. I make a great deal of unusual magic items, almost always with a drawback. My most recent ones include: Purse of Enough - You put all of your coin in it to attune it and must continue to do so. You always have enough money for whatever you need. You never have more than enough money and you never have enough for stuff that you just want. It was used by a saint who gave all his wealth to the poor. It is altruistic, pious and self-sacrificing in nature, it allows you to 'need' stuff to help other people. This worked very well for allowing a character to take a vow of poverty, but still be able to help other people. Baldric of Sir Rob the Deathless - This is a baldric given to a knight by his wife before a big crusade. Sir Rob the Deathless is reknowned for always returning alive from terrible battles where other people got wiped out. Unbeknownst to Rob, his wife blessed/cursed it so that he would come home to her alive. It gives Disadvantage on all fear saving throws. When under the effects of fear however, you are never stunned or dazed and are at advantage for every action and save you take to get away safely. Scabbard of Sir Ghand the War-Weary - Sir Ghand was a knight that had seen it all, he had been on some very long and brutal crusades. He was just so sick of bloodshed, it really weighed him down. While you attuned to this scabbard: - You have a sense of crushing depression every time you draw your sword. As such, it is always assumed that you have not drawn it unless you specifically say otherwise. - You have disadvantage on initiative checks on any turn in which you have to draw your sword. You pause for a moment as you really don't want to have to kill again. - You are at advantage for all social skill tests to avoid violence, while your sword is in the scabbard. Whether you lie, convince or threaten, the spirit of Sir Ghand aids you in avoiding violence.
