D&D 5E An adventure product I'd love to see from WotC

Wasn't Gardmore Abbey a boxed set? Looks like it only cost about $40, and it was done fairly recently.

I've read all the old info about TSR, but I think the big issue was that a) everything was a boxed set and b) they undercosted the sets. Not that they weren't feasible, just not appropriately priced.
Yeah, WotC tried to bring back boxed sets and then very quickly stopped.
If they worked WotC would have kept doing them and not moved to flimsy boxes (Shadowfell) before dropping altogether.
(not being familiar with Gardmore Abby I'm uncertain if the box was a 2e style box or a flimsy top opening thing like Shadowfell.)

--edit--
From this image it looks exactly like the flimsy Shadowfell box.

This type of box was barely thicker than a cover of a softcover book. Thinner than your average box of cereal.

It likely would be hitting the 90 dollar mark (or thereabouts) since you'd have a pretty small print run and some serious shipping costs. I'd likely be fine with pogs instead of minis, but, two fairly hefty modules, plus handouts? Yeah, that's going to put a dent in a hundred bucks.

Still cheap for that price AFAIC. Heck, you've got, what, about a years worth of gaming in a single box? I'd shell out 90 bucks for that. Heck, I payed a hundred for my World's Largest Dungeon and it was the best investment I ever made.

A boxed set named Tyranny of Dragons, with the following content:

- Book 1: Hoard of the Dragon Queen (softcover);
- Book 2: The Rise of Tiamat (softcover);
- Some cool poster maps for the adventure site;
- Handouts of all kinds.

This product would probably be released by the end of 2015, and successful storylines in the future would receive the same treatment. What do you think? Any chances of it happening?

I don't think there is any chance of that happening and I would not buy it as I'd already own at least one of the adventures.

I'd consider buying a brand new set of adventures that way, but I'm still not convinced WotC will head down that path.
