I love the new deva race from the PHBII. I hate its look. So I decided to merge Aasimars, Ilumians and Maenads (from 3.5's XPH) into a single race, cosmetically reminiscent of 4e's angels. Physical Description: Devas trace their heritage to the angels, and bear their connection to the Astral Sea in their very beings. Their skin can be deep blue, indigo, black or violet, mimicking the colors of the night sky. Tiny crystals dot their bodies, refracting light and looking like myriad constellations. The eyes of a deva shine with a bluish-white radiace, and their hair, often streaked with blue, silver, gold, violet or gray, flows about as if caught in a gentle breeze. The most striking feature of a deva is a small Supernal rune that floats an inch or so from his forehead, burning in a silver fire. These runes are unique to each deva, who can dim them to the point of invisibility, or brighten them to match torchlight. From a deva's back spread two translucent, insubstantial wings made of the Astral Sea's radiance. Some devas manage to channel energy through those ghostly abstract wings and make them solid enough to fly.
