I started a campaign for my wife and daughter. My wife wanted to play a Hathran Witch and my daughter is playing a character based on Tiger of the Wind from "Monster Rancher". I'm setting it up so that the Witch is assigned to find out why the Tiger was freed from a medallion of Lurue, the deity of talking beasts. They will find out that Tiger must gain the powers of Earth, Fire and Water in order to assist the Witches in killing the Hag Queen residing in Citadel Rashemar. The Hag is working for Talos in trying to wrest Water portfolio from Umberlee. Whether this succeeds depends on the PCs actions. It allows for some growth of the characters, but has a reasonable, but flexible, limit on the length of the campaign. I'm also using my old "Into the Unknown" module and the updated "Quest for the Unknown" by Kenzer. Some of the updated info from Kenzer makes it a better storyline to play around with. I'll also be using the missing Rogahn and Zelligar along with the "Keep on the Borderlands" module for the next stage of their quest. I'm pondering whether the ToEE map would be a good basis for Citadel Rashemar. The elemental nodes would be kind of appropriate for Tiger to gain some of her missing aspects but I'm not sure if I want them to be all in one location.
