The wraith's (MM 257-258) constitution drain ability does not specifically mention that it's a negative energy effect, therefore it's NOT a negative energy effect. Right?

Seems pretty clear to me, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't mis-reading something before this week's game.

Absolutely correct, ability drain is generally not negative energy.
