Damn, Ryan. You always were good at making me laugh and tear up at the same time. Now you've gone and done it again. Angelsboi sent me the first couple of chapters of the novel he was writing several months ago. He had alot to say about life, and though the writing was dark on the surface, he said alot about who he was, and he said alot to his mom and to his friends. He was a very caring soul, and when we wrote back and forth, he always said something funny or touching before he mentioned how bad he was feeling or how his health was not getting any better. He stopped writing the novel, saying he was going to come back to it someday, and that would try to write something else. We emailed a few times after that, but I could tell from the few emails that he wasn't getting any better. He still mentioned from time to time that he'd get to one of the big conventions, maybe GenCon, to meet a bunch of the people he knew online. I know that he'll be there in spirit this year, and I'll be raising a glass for him. Rest in peace Ryan. You have earned it. You won't be forgotten. Thanks for the smiles, and thanks for the tears. :):(
