He was a complete stranger to me as I was to him; at least on the level that we never conversed directly.Some could say that him and I were not at all alike; after all i am a married with two kids, optimisitic, woman with an overnight job at walmart.As different as we were, i felt a connection to him. In the end i think all he wanted is the same thing i strive for everyday, love, acceptance and joy, and in life, we are not all that different after all.He was filled with a beautiful soul; a soul that even now I feel is present in all his poetry. He had an amazing spirit. He was struck down too early. Its better knowing that he is no longer in pain; that no matter what comes, he is now at peace. He has touched me deeply. His poetry, his struggle between the light and the dark places in his heart. May your soul find all it desires Ryan.
