Animal Companion Advancement?

Do bonus HD for animal companions from druid levels increase the size of the animal companion if advancement normally would (this is specifically for a dire bear), or does it only increase BAB, saves, and skills/feats?

It does not give the size increase, just everything else.

The animal's base advancement is separate and stacks with the bonus Hd it gains from being the druid's companion.
