I love actual play . . . It turns out, I don't really like 'lone wolf' actual play. Also, you forgot to roll any dice or use any game mechanics during the 'game'. I downloaded and read through 'Instant Game' before listening to the podcast, and it looks really cool; I hope I ever get a chance to run it, but getting groups together for stuff like that is tough. I rolled up a sample, and I ended up with a campy agricultural dystopia where movie monsters are in charge. The PCs (who are ancient ninjas) have to disguise themselves as elected officials in order to poison the tyrannical movie monsters; also there would be 'flexible music' in there somewhere. The thing I was most looking forward to in your actual play was hearing your character creation and mechanical implementation of the 3d6 conflict resolution . . . but you didn't do either of those things. Basically what you presented was a random setting/plot generator . . . which is cool, but it's not an 'instant game'. What's in the PDF is an instant game, but I didn't get that feel from the podcast. So . . . good try, and it was fun to listen to, but . . . eh. As a final complaint, it seems kind of feckless not to consistently post for each released podcast. I followed this link and found out I missed three that I never saw you post here! How am I supposed to find out when there's a new podcast? Subscribe to the feed or regularly visit your website? Ha! Also, episode 79's download link doesn't work (unless it was a problem on my end). The point is: good job making a cool podcast and instant game. ~
