It uses Identify on discovered magical items. </p><p> </p><p>Ankhus regularly scribes scrolls of the following spells to use: <em>Alarm</em>, <em>Amanuensis</em>(SC), <em>Charm Person</em>, <em>Comprehend Languages</em>, <em>Detect Magic</em>, <em>Dispel Ward</em>(SC), <em>Knock</em>, <em>Know Direction</em>, <em>Levitate</em>, <em>Greater Mage Hand</em>(SC), <em>Mending</em>, <em>Omen of Peril</em>(SC), <em>Repair Light Damage</em>(SC), <em>Speak with Animals</em> and <em>Spider Climb</em>. It can be expected to be carrying one of each of these scrolls at any given time. </p><p> </p><p>Ankhus tries to avoid combat whenever possible, interested more in its scholarly pursuits. It will lay flat and spread out, immitating a pile of inert sand, tucking it's bags of holding and the Black Sand behind any boulders it is carrying to conceal it's adventuring gear. If it must fight, it attempts to charm an opponent or hurl boulders. If the opponent cannot be pursuaded or driven away, Ankhus will engulf the opponent until it passes out from damage or suffocation. The opponent is then exposed to the Black Sand until it is converted into more of the substance for Ankhus to carry around. Ankhus will resort to more scrolls or infusions as circumstances require. </p><p> </p><p>When not exploring, Ankhus enjoys reading and being in the company of fellow collegues.</p><p> </p><p>Gear: </p><p>-12lbs of Shapesand (Sandstorm p.102).</p><p>-Enough Black Sand to create two 5’ squares of magical darkness that extends 20’ up (Sandstorm p.20).</p><p>-Pearly White Ioun Stone.</p><p>-Dust of Appearance</p><p>-Type I Bag of Holding, Type II Bag of Holding.</p><p>-Various Scrolls (See above).</p><p>-Paper, Ink, Pen.</p><p>-A number of boulders between 40-50lbs, usually 8.</p></blockquote><p></p>
