A little late than never, I’ve been collecting and reading Eberron since its debut 3 years ago, but January 2007 is the first time I’ll be running a campaign there, much to the surprise & joy of my players. With that in mind, I have been studying message boards, fan reaction to published work, and have already answered most of my own questions to fit my group’s style. However, these remain: 1) Just how does WotC/Mr. Baker pronounce Cyre? I mean, every player in my group currently says it differently and we sound silly. And, if I run into a developer or seminar next GenCon I don’t want to sound like an idiot. :) Sy-ree? Seer? Ky-ree? Keer-ie? Sire? 2) In your home campaign, do you play up or take advantage of the fact that during the Last War House Deneith royally screwed up with their hobgoblin mercs that went rogue and slaughtered and enslaved tons of folk? Was there any fallout in your game between the house and the nations and the impact? 3) Have you run a Dungeon Magazine adventure in Eberron that wasn’t written for it, but contained many elements of one (travel to exotic locals, or a really well-thought out mystery, engaging NPCs and the like) that your players would never have guessed it wasn’t an Eberron adventure? Many thanks for any insight! -DM Jeff
