Ok, Ive had this idea for a setting for a few years now...and I must say, with all the time Ive spent pondering it and such it has gotten better and better. What Im looking for are an interested individuals up for some creative fun in the making of the Raja Campaign (the name of the setting). I have set up a messageboard dedicated to its creation and I invite all of you come check into it (read the introduction in the General section to get a good idea of WHAT Raja is). Epic levels are go, psionics, magic usage(mid-high), a divided nation in a massive angry civil war, crime vs. law(drugs, assassins, thieves, crown loyalists, gangs, mob families), the exotic...a few ideas that might give you a slight idea of what is in store. If your creative and would like to help out in making the Raja Campaign, check out the link, signup and jump in. Thanks.

No, there are absolutely no creative people here whatsoever. It is kind of sad when you think about it.

Honestly? No creative people? Perhaps this is the wrong place to post this...maybe I should try posting it in House Rules. Ill keep this here and all just in case someone stumbles across it. Thanks anyways.

I just had to say it. Of course, he seems to have completely missed the irony of my statement.

You need to check your keyboard, tburdett. You typed in irony when you ment honesty. May be time to get a cordless....

Err, I think that we can all take that as a rhetorical question. It might even have been worded that way as a challenge. However, your wording of the initial post might not get you the responses that you desire. What you've outlined sounds like a very general solicitation seeking a rather massive undertaking from whoever might be interested, with only a minimum of context about the campaign. My suggestion would be for your to not paint in such broad strokes and instead toss out a few very specific main ideas you are thinking of and then let the "creative" people reading this offer suggestions and comments.

Ok, this is pretty childish. I didnt think this would be such a problem, such a hard concept for people to wrap their heads around so to speak. Im talking serious here, not :):):):)s and giggles. Missing the irony of the statements and all...no, dont worry, I picked up on that but instead of being rude and following it up with a comment of my own I chose to act in a more adult manner. This isnt hard to get folks...not in the least. All I was asking for was for some creative people (like myself) who would possibly like to work on a project setting...simple. What more do I need to say about the project when there is a link at the bottom of the post to a forum dedicated to the project with AMPLE material to introduce you to it? The reason I have a link in the first place...kind of screams out "Click here and check me out!" doesnt it? Isnt that what a link is for? I thought it was. You people have some valid points and all...but is this honestly how you should be treating people...sitting around making wise-cracks? Sheesh...didnt think itd be such an event. Thanks.

The comments above were all in good fun, but I apologize if mine came off wrong. I mean what I'm about to say in the nicest, most helpful way possible, so please don't take umbrage to it.

The thing is, there are a lot of industry professionals/freelancers who frequent these boards, on top of all the players and GMs... that makes all of us very creative.

Every so often, someone will drop in, and start a brand new account; announcing big plans to start a company, a magazine, what have you... a lot of us have learned to wait for something concrete.

Add this to the fact that many of us freelancers have the ears of established publishers and a "casting call" type post from someone who none of us know is a tough sell.

Now, I've seen your site, and it sounds like it's a good idea. It's very intricate, with a lot of interesting conflicts. In fact, if the setting is India inspired, it sounds a lot like what's going on in a corner of my own setting.

I'd be glad to offer support or advice, but I couldn't commit to helping with writing at this time.

My only question to you would be: Why can't you write this alone? You seem like you have a good handle on things, and the old adage about too many cooks holds very true with RPGs unless you have a very good team.

At any rate, I'm sorry if I contributed to offending you, and I wish you luck. Feel free to email me, and I'll give you any help I can.
