Any Experience With "Modern Superheroes" by IGM Games?

I was looking at Modern Superheroes on RPGNow (http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=3145&), and I am wondering if anyone has downloaded it yet. Given my current Starving Writer status, even 12 bucks is too much to spend without reason. The feature list is appealing, but the large number of grammatical errors in the ad copy worries me. If you can't write coherent ad copy (the 'first impression' anyone will have of your game), can I trust you to write coherent rules? If English is not your first language (some of the sentence structure looks more like a non-native English speaker whose grasp of English is good, but not perfect) and you want to write a book in English, have it proofed by a native speaker.

It's quite possible the advertisement was not written by the same people who produced the game, but I don't feel like spending 12 bucks to find out. Anyone want to volunteer to be a guinea pig?

A quick note to anyone posting products for sale on the net: We can't "flip through" your book in the store. All we have to go by is the "ad copy" you provide, or whatever samples you make available for download. Making a good impression is *vital*. When you have only one or two hundred words to play with, even a single error stands out.

Hrm, had never heard of "Modern Superheroes" until this moment. Not quite sure about it either.

As a rhet-comp guy, I have to agree that the few errors in that write-up meshes with a non-native speaker. The overall tone and the style of "persuasive" language leans me in that direction as well. Just an opinion, though. Might just be an inexperienced copywriter who didn't proofread.

I'd be interested to see what's in the product. I'm currently using "Blood and Vigilance" to prep for a modern Supers game. If you're specifically interested in a modern-based supers, I CAN say some good things about BnV, as I own it. The current incarnation sits on top of and meshes with d20 Modern very smoothly.

Not to try to pull sales away from somebody else's product or anything, I just can suggest BnV as a very good genre product.

And at half the price!
