I'm looking for a generic d20 sci-fi game, preferably free. Does anyone know what I should look at?

DragonStar is currently "background" poor due to the missing Galaxy Guide.
The rules work very well with most sci fi ideas, I think. Perhaps not Starwars... Okay, DragonStar includes magic, but I think if you take away the magic classes and tweak some of the half magic classes (Ranger, to a certain extent perhaps Bard), it is very generic. (For compensation of class loss you gain Pilot and Mechanist)
I use the DragonStar rules for my own setting...

Hi,
This is what we are attempting with Black Nova. Site is www.black-nova.net, but it is a bit poorly at the mo because of some 'cyber rascals' I will call them.
Has a slight theme to it which can be ignored.
9 races including humans, the all conquering mallome, the terrifying cerran-avore and the wise tiverrek and a full synthetic.
Add to this cyborg implantations, deliberate and accidental genetic manipulation (child of the rays, saturn damaned, child of gen-prov) and even virgin birth by etehreal spirits.
More than a dozen classess including diplomat, pilot, armsman, privateer, drifter, explorer, commander,
More than 30 weapons, currently about 16 types of armour.
Managed to add the barest minimum of new skills and feats
Easily manageable space combat and vessel design system so with ease an armsman can battle a tank, gyrocopter, gun turret and landing shuttle.
Armour class is based on the reflective (AC bonus) and absorptive (damage reduction).
still in very early testing (only had 3 play-test sessions) so anyone willing to join in gets in early-ish in development.
Oh and its all free. email me for bits of documents and pdf's until site is back up.

Hi
Has about 650 posts and a number of files for download (rough outline, equipment lists). To keep out bothersome interlopers you have to join though, hence it dont look much to non-members!!
