Any good miniatures out there for d20 Modern?

Errant

First Post
Maybe I never outgrew the toy-soldiers phase of childhood but I'm a big fan of having decent miniatures on the game table, EXPECIALLY for combat adjudication!

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a decent source of mini's for d20 Modern. :(

Please tell me there's someone somewhere is producing good mini's that I can get hold of!

I am not sure about actual mini's, but Steve Jackson Games (GURPS) has recently put out a big book or cardoard heroes for modern campaigns. I have checked it out in my local store, and it is on my list to purchase.

You can also look online for printable modern paper mini's. I found a few dozen different designs out there.

Here is a link to a set that I made using Hero Machine on my modern site. Check out my modern helper, also, if you have not already.

Wow, thanks for the fast responses.

I will definitely look at both your links, but to clarify one point I was really thinking about something more substantial than cardboard/paper substitutes. Too many years using solid metal minitiatures for D&D from Reaper & the Games Workshop lines I guess.

Surely there's enough of a market opening there for someone to make a killing. Even a d20 Modern version of the plastic mini's Wizards are advertising for release later in the year would be great.

It just seems to me that paper, pencils & dice are a bit flat without some good mini's to round out the table!.

Am I on my own thinking that?

Very cool.

Lots of good mini's in those links. I haven't even finished looking through them & I'm already impressed with the em4miniatures, and the Street Violence range.

Thanks again for the feedback all.

Once again the Enworld community comes through! :D

Not another link, but an endorsement of em4. I bought 2 each of their suits at Gen Con UK last year for use with Spycraft and haven't regretted it since. I've also picked up some toy cars at my local toyshop that are almost the right scale for 25mm figures. My cars are made by Maisto (examples can be found here (scroll down for the cars I'm talking about). I've found that they really help when it comes to visualizing things (and they only cost around £3 each).
