hi
JoeGKushner can you or somebody else taht's got the book can post the list of contents and the names of the monsters and their chellange raitings ?
and if you can olaso the names of the prestige classes ?
thanks

I actually don't have the book but I did read through it at Gen Con. sometimes reivewers got products early, sometimes late, and sometimes not at all. I did buy a ton of War Machine stuff though. I love golems! I have all the old Mage Knight Metal Ones and these are about the same scale.

OT, but the "Construct Mechanus" book mentioned on the philipjreed site has instantly become my most anticipated upcoming book. It's exactly what I need for my homebrew.

Prestige Classes and Favorite Monsters

Adventuring Scholar -- Not bad. Hit disc is d6, requirements are Knowledge or Lore (any) 5 ranks, Gather information 5 ranks, Profession (any appropriate) 5 ranks, Skill Focus (Lore or Knowledge skill). The "Against All Odds" ability that mimics their legendary luck is cool.

Bone Grinder -- Spellcasters who use magically prepared body parts to augment their spells. These are "spell enhancers" and are as cool as they are creepy.

Monster Hunter -- About what you'd expect.

My favorite monster is probably the Boatman. The descriptive text is wonderful and the mental image as you read it is pretty scary.

Second would be the deathjack. I've got a thing for big mechanical monstrosties.

(BTW -- Thanks for noticing the Construct Mechanus stuff. I'm having fun with it and have been getting feedback from the editor and a few trusted others who are playtesting and reading. Overall comment appears to be more but since I planned on doing a second book I'm not going to rush to expand this one.)

Hey philreed,

I'm glad you liked the Boatman desc... I poured a lot of effort into him and the other entries that I did for PP. I am kinda jealous though... you have the monsternomicon before me ;-(

Joseph Miller

PS: I'd love to see a thorough run down of each creature... what you liked didn't... as a writer/designer "I need the info" and "one billion dollars" ;-)
