Any rules on Carniverous features?

Hello all, and thanks ahead of time for the help, even if it is some place that would be super, SUPER easy for me to find.

I am doing another conversion for one of my favorite races, the Kzinti. However, the only write up is an article for Dragon #50 that is more descriptive but not really rules-laden.

Anyway, to the point... They are carnvierous and they have to have a certain amount of FRESH meat per pound they weigh in order to function. So, here is the $2 question, are there any rules that anyone knows of on this type of thing with modifiers and whatnot? I am going to look myself, but since it is almost sleepy time for this grumpy Norseman, I figured I would start here first.

Thanks all!

Obligate carnivores, IIRC, typically consume something like 1-2 times their own weight in meat per week.

However, those are nonsentient carnivors, and so, spend a surprising amount of time in an inactive, resting state. For a more active creature of that sort, I'd say, 2x to 3x their own weight is a good starting point.

That, of course, would constitute "normal rations" ... then apply the DMG rules as apropriate -- keepign in mind, many predators tend to go through a cyclic feast-or-famine routine; gorging for several days, sleeping off some of the excess (as it's converted to stored fat), then going a week or more without eating much at all.

Then another big kill, and feasting for a couple days.
