Anybody (in Michigan) like comics?

MonkeyDragon

Explorer
Or art prints, action figures, anime, star trek stuff, star wars stuff, batman, geeky apparrel, magic cards, hero clix, and...lots of stuff!

The Monkeydragon will be selling her wares at the Motor City Comic Con. It's always a grand time, and it'd be awesome to see some en world people there, especially since I can't go to the big gaming conventions. ::sad:: I even have solid chocolate d20s!

So come on by! There'll be a special something for anyone from the board.

con is fri-sun, and all the relevant info is here: http://www.motorcityconventions.com/motor_city_comic_con/index.html

Time for one more hour of frantic preparation before we leave!

Now THAT is an idea whose time has come. Are they just blank dodecahedrons, or are there actual numbers on them 1-20?

Actual numbers 1-20. Well, one face is blank, because the chocolate has to go into the mold. They look pretty good. They taste even better. And they even roll! No one's ever fumbled with a chocolate d20. (No, thats not the face I left blank. It didn't seem fair.) I tried scanning one, but obviously 3d things don't scan well and I haven't got any pictures.

And about the bootleggers. Man, that was crazy! They've been there for years, and everybody knew it. Suddenly there's all these cops and guys in handcuffs. Terribly exciting. I didn't get to see too much, as I was at my table in artists' alley for most of it.

It was a good weekend. I did pretty well, though I think some of my stuff would do better at an actual gaming con. I do wish I'd had more tim to browse the dealers and visit the other guests.

Just out of curiosity this struck my interest. Was Keith Pollard there? I know he lives in the area, he's a former Marvel artist (co-creator of Black Cat, as a matter of fact) and sells original artwork. A Comic Con seems like a perfect venue for him to get some extra cash.
