Anybody know where to find good background info on Melnibone, Elric, and Beasties?

Just as it says. I'm looking for good background on the world of Elric, especially all the creatures that populate it(dragons especially). Can anybody help me out? The books don't even have to be roleplaying game books.

The old "Elric" RPG book or "Stormbringer" books from Chaosium. You could try "Dragon Lords of Melnibone" from Chaosium. Its their conversion of "Elric" into the d20 world, and quite frankly it stinks...plus a lot of the art and text is lifted verbatim from the "Elric" book they did.

Other than that, how about the Elric series of books?

Or this: http://www.elric.org.uk/resources.html

Or try a Google (or whatever your fave search engine is) search.

I understand that the books by Michael Moor(something) are considered the definitive work on the subject... ;)

Otherwise, what Grazzt said.

Naw, that's just a lie.:)

Thanks for the links though Grazzt. I might pick up Stormbringer the next time I'm in the mall, I found a store that has two copies of the main book left.

Most welcome, blackshirt-

The Stormbringer book (RPG book from Chaosium) is quite good. A bit different (and perhaps more complex) than the Elric book, but well worth it...especially if you are mining it for ideas.

I've got the Dragon Lord's of Melenbone One I like it very much and if you need something in a hurry let me know I could help with an interim amount of information. Be warned though I type slooow.

Let me know If you need dragon stats whatever....

Are they D20 stats, cpt? If they are, then I have no problem with you sending them to me, although I'm more interested in descriptions of the dragons, demons, and other beasties.

Find an original copy of Deities & Demigods, which had the Melnibonean mythos statted, along with the Cthulu mythos.

I've pondered doing that, but I'm afraid of getting my CC# ripped off when I bid on Ebay.
