Anybody played XCrawl?

First Post
I'm thinking of picking this up, I think it'd be fun, I've already got my players interested, one of em, upon hearing of the idea behind my campaign(if not the entire setting): D&D meets WWE, went into his best MAcho Man Randy Savage impression, and I'm already getting questions like "Is Powerbomb gonna be a feat or a skill?". So, anybody played it/ran it? Is it fun?

I'm thinking, pop in a CD of WWE/WCW entrance themes, follow it up with Some Manowar, Some ICP(for the song about Hulk Hogan POwerbombing Onto Thumbtacks), and the stage is set. Let my players pose, snarl, and Powerbomb Orcs onto Thumbtacks.

Yeah, that's what I thought. When I put my order through(probably won't be till middle of February at least) then I'll review it on this site.

MY players have selected their "theme musics" for the game. For the Elf, "HBK"(Shawn Michael's Music). For the Really Buff Human, "Real American"(Hulk Hogan's Old Music), the Dwarf hasn't decided yet, but together, the theme is the Old nWo music.

I'm lovin this game already, and we're a month away from it starting.

I'm probably also gonna mix in quite a bit of influence from my fave animes, like the Fatal Fury Trilogy, with a DJ like the Duck King, and kiho feats like in Rokugan.

D&d meets WWE meets Rollerball meets Running Man.

All that held me back was the pricetag. Please tell the (EN) world wether it is worth it.:D

"Do you think you can beat me?"
"Ye/ " No one asked you little man!"

"When suddenly, the clouds parted, the roof came off your house, and ARES HIMSELF, stepped down into your living room. And he looked at you, and he said, 'Bob'..."

"But my name's Billy-"

"IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Thankfully, not too many of my players can do the whole Rock impression as well as me, so I'm pretty much safe from crappy Rock impressions. Not that they're safe from mine though.:D :D :D

I'm tempted to take a look at it in the stores, purely because its' interesting.

It seems like a perfect Beer and Pretzels game.

Played it ....bought it ....played it some more.
Very fun with an interesting backstory.

Easy to play too if your familiar with d20.

Rule book...layout was a little disappointing to me but i can live with it.
