Anyone else laugh at Dangers of the Demonweb?

I just found something highly humorous about Dangers of the Demonweb.

1. Based on monsters that come with cards that have the stats.

2. To use the gaming stats from the mag on the table, you need the minis. That come with the cards.

3. The cards are wrong. Still.

So The Demonweb set for the D&D Miniatures Game contains some creatures that haven't appeared in any 4th Edition products shows that either WoTC doesn't believe that the miniatures are 4th edition products or they decided to make people pay for the errata.

Not really I know but it strikes me as funny for some reason. "Hey, pay for this article talking about these miniatures. Yeah, when you buy the miniatures to use the articles, they have game stats, but hey, no fear, those are wrong." :p

I will admit to cackling evily once or twice. For example the Explosive Scythejaw's Clockwork Timer/Timed Explosion. At first I was like  but then I was like

I'm shocked Joe wrote something negative about the minis line.

This was a great article. No where did it say the stats on the cards were wrong. I think it clearly stated that they re-did the stats to make them more paragon level.

I now have two sets of stats I can use for the same minis! It's like getting twice the value out of the minis. I like this, actually. It makes each mini more useful, not less. Indeed, this is exactly how the model should work, I think. Orcs, drow, ochre jellies, whatever you want, useful at multiple levels of play. I like that design model.

Finally, it was well written, well illustrated, and I enjoyed reading it.

*that said, I'm sure there are errors on some of the cards, but who cares? I don't think there is a card that isn't useful.

Don't get me wrong. I think it's a fairly decent article.

I just found it humorous that instead of it being a freebie that it's for the subscribers only. Which is okay as I am a subscriber and all.

Well, it was the bestiary article, which they do every month, so it's not like they just tossed out this idea once. We get monsters every month in that article.

I thought it was cool enough. At least made the demon creature cooler (I seriously thought it was either a bad Jar Jar reject, or the demon was humping the symbiot's head).
