Anyone know if Ilya Astrakhan is still illustrating?

On the front page, we have links to download the old issues of Asgard from 2001 and 2002, and in the 7th issue, on page 55, I found a gorgeous illustration by Ilya Astrakhan.

I remember requesting volunteer art and being thrilled to get something so swanky for free. Intrigued and nostalgic, I tracked down his old Epilogue gallery, here Ilya Astrakhan Art Gallery - Epilogue.net - Fantasy Art Galleries.

But as far as I can tell, he stopped doing art in 2004, which I think is a shame. Anyone know what may have become of this fine fantasy artist? I mean, c'mon, what's not to love?

Well, I found this information page for him on the Pen & Paper RPG Database.

He's definitely done work since 2004. He was an interior artist for Green Ronin's True20 Adventure Roleplaying (2006).

Perhaps if you leave a comment there, he'll see it. Or perhaps Mr. Pramas knows how to get in touch with him.

I haven't done any illustration for a long time now. Good for the soul, no for the money.

Commercial CGI is pretty much all I do now.

My CGI work would not really be interesting to you guys. It's mostly car stuff.
