A friend of mine bought it yesterday, and brought it over. It's not bad. I was expecting worse. The graphics are decent, the combat relatively easy, and it moves fairly quickly. The dialog is pretty stilted (ie. "thou art standing in my way, brigand", "forsooth, I thought he said", etc. etc.). My friend had never bought an RPG before, so it was fun watching him learn the conventions of the genre. We played for maybe 2 hours or so, and had a good time with it. The graphics aren't quite as good as Oblivion. Fighting from horseback is rather neat. Once we figured out a few things, like finding a good weapon so we weren't getting massacred by wild boars and such, things started picking up. Didn't play with the magic system much, as the character we were playing seemed to be turning into a fighter. NPCs remember what you did. My buddy attacked a villager, and then insulted the guard who tried to arrest him, and as a result, everyone in the village pretty much attacked us on sight whenever we came near. Outside of the village, it's a blank slate, though NPCs etc. tend to remember how you treat them. Given the play experience I had, I'll likely pick it up, though I might wait for it to come down a bit in price. Banshee
