[QUOTE="Glacialis, post: 1842398, member: 1175"] My DM has, when seeing if we found anything interesting after a very long time in what was meant to be a "side" adventure (heheh), rolled what he called "insanely high" for my character. Now, given the slightly off-beat nature of our game, it could come into my character's possession through any number of means ;). But, he's still kinda clueless as to what it might be. Myself, I'm thinking a neat familiar. But I think he wants something else. Some background information. We're a six character 15th level party. Human paladin, human sorcerer/loremaster(/necromancer), gnome illusionist, elven arcane trickster, halfling cleric of luck/rogue, and my character, a human wizard/Sculptor of Chaos (thanks Mr. Nock!). We all have our "schtick", and being a wild mage and a cook, my character gravitates towards food and specifically, fruit, attacks. Don't laugh. Ever seen lime jello in place of an acid fireball? Or frozen strawberries in place of a cone of cold? ;) Regardless, we've just come out of an area of dead magic where many magic items had been stored, so we could conceivable have found something. We weren't looking for loot, as there was good-guy stuff to be done and we didn't really get a chance to grab any loot, so no worry about montyhaulism there. Still, it provides a mechanism to introduce items if we did indeed find something. What is this particular wizard like? He is a wild mage because he tries to wield the fundamental forces of the universe in their natural form, instead of channelled through formulae. He is a scientist with a bit of a goofy mad scientist/swedish chef streak. So, humor has its place. He comes from a land where most are enslaved by cruel dragon kings, humans who are half dragon and immensely powerful wizard psions. He helped many slaves escape, and found his way to Toril (Forgotten Realms). He hopes to find a means to return to his world (possible), and free the land from oppression.
