Hightower journeys to a well-known martial-adept camp located in Cliffside. Here the towering city has worn thin and sparse with some of the unworked rock of the cliff that Sharn is built upon showing through. At least he thinks it is unworked rock. Its difficult to say for sure, bit it could be ancient pieces of collapsed stone towers crushed by the weight of the towers above until it is indistinguishable from un-worked stone and earth. The adepts have found one of the few undeveloped portions of Sharn and have “setup camp” on this foreboding and forbidding landscape. Hammock-like “platforms” are hung from the cliff face on massive oversized pitons, both above and below the single stretch of ledge that passes through the district. Hightower immediately feels at home, his mountain movement ability proves invaluable for navigating from hammock to hammock to get to the location he desires. The largest hammock, over 30 feet long and almost as much wide, appears to be a sparring area, its slow weighted sway matched by the two participants engaged in their current match. Nearby, another has a tarpaulin cover, and several netlike shelves with scrolls beneath. He sees the master of the “shop” sitting cross-legged in meditation. After a respectful wait, Hightower approaches and is able to purchase the scrolls he needs from the Guru, Garrin ja’Havel. He feels a bit of loss, as he must now rush back to the meeting place arranged by Rosa; this Garrin could have taken him far down the sublime path. Still, with the scripts he has in hand, he feels he can begin to craft his own fighting style that incorporates elements from a few disciplines. Perhaps someday he may return to train with Garrin. OOC: I don’t want to RP this scene, but just want to give you a feel for some of the exotic feel that Sharn has to offer.
