the swiftwind Hours after the meeting with Sur’kil, Rosa sat quietly in the tearoom sipping her tea as Faris and Fenwick lounged about on couches to take in the view. She had discovered Miss Terri’s Exotic Leaf a few years ago and had made it her favorite spot for a cup when taking her leisure. It sat at the border between the wards of Overlook and Underlook, just above the bridge across to the spiral market. Beyond was the view of the harbor, normally cloaked in fog, but today they could see all the way to where the hilt met the sea. She sat her cup down on the gold and porcelain saucer, and smoothed her skirts. Just then, Hightower entered covered in the red dust of the cliffs below them. He had a number of martial scrypts clutched in his hand, proud that he would soon proceed down the path of the nine swords. Trent and Saris were right behind him, with bags of supplies under their arms. Outfitted with the gear they needed, the six companions left Miss Terri’s to journey down to the harbor area several hundred feet below. Descending to the bridge that crossed the gap over to the massive stone plinth of the spiral market, they then wound their way down on the railed ledge that circled the column many, many times. As they descended, they passed carts parked along the interior of the ledge, turned to display the fruits, vegetables, and fish for sale. Most of these sellers were only expecting to be in port for a short time and were selling their wares as close to the wharves as was practical. Many would likely reload their items tomorrow and were looking to offload at a reduced price. As such, one would expect to find bargains, but as the heroes proceeded downward you realize that little of value had been left by this late time of day. Eventually the spiral market gave way to a spider’s web of wooden-plank bridges at its base. Taking the appropriate path, you find pier 53 soon enough. A new soarwood caravel was anchored at the end of the pier, held in place by massive cables mounted onto posts at the end of the pier. The fair vessel seemed almost uneasy in the water as if it wanted to leap out of the water, a result of a soarwood craft anchored within the manifest zone linked to Syrania, the Azure Sky that Sharn resides in. "Behold the ship, the Swiftwind" said Sur'kil from behind you as you board the ship. "I have commissioned the use of this vessel for as long it takes to complete the mission I have for you. Once we are en-route I will tell you more."
