Me... I like setting flavour being shown with restrictions, just like I limit the races for each setting I create. Same with deities. HOWEVER, if a player really wants to play a certain concept it is always easy to adjust. (I swapped races in current campaign b/c my son found a picture he liked). Not to digress, I am sure most DMs feel the same. If Kzach has a sound concept in mind (and he sounds like he does) then why not alow it? If it is only for power gaming = then forget it. To me concepts, and a player's desire to go with that concept, are paramount. To me Kzach's position isn't 'why not remove all restrictions?', like the egs of feats and class people have brought up. He has a tight character concept that these options fit (and the game is not broken if they are combined). I mean isn't there provision in Complete Divine and PHB for clerics to worship a group of gods...or even a whole pantheon. I am not sure how being in a Living Campaign works, but I assume you are stuck with the rules as written, so I suggest pick something else and move on. (There does have to be some restrictions for 'eveness' etc for organised play...but I am sure you are aware of that - and that is not what you are questioning, I know. But if that is the way of it, moaning won't change it :(). OK - some suggestions: 1. As far as I can remember, my point about a group of gods (or pantheon) is valid. From memory, you can choose this and therefore choose any domain (or from a larger group). 2. Directly follow an exarch of the god. Say you go with Kord (or whoever from FR) - that gives you the Strength. Now follow one of his exarchs, like a risen gladiator known for his exceptional skill at dispatching foes. That's what I would encourage a player to do, and it would be no problem (but as outlined in Divine Power I am not sure there is a problem here anyway...unless dictated by the Living setting). Out (good luck Kzach). Connors
