Arcane mark question

Can you arcane mark something and drawmij instant summons it through a bag of holding? I have a wizard who has been killed by the company but has cloned himself and arcane marked all of his stuff. They (naturally) looted his corpse and took his stuff. Imagine that.

You've got a couple problems.

1. You need to cast the spell before the item gets stolen from you. This empowers a gem to summon the item when the gem is crushed. So, if you haven't planned in advance for this eventuality, you can't get the item back.

2.

If the item is in the possession of another creature, the spell does not work, but you know who the possessor is and roughly where that creature is located when the summons occurs.

If someone is currently holding the bag of holding, it's a possessed object, and wouldn't return to you. If you're lucky, and they've set it down, then I see nothing else in the spell that states it cannot call the item from nondimensional or extradimensional spaces, especially given:

The item can be summoned from another plane, but only if no other creature has claimed ownership of it.
