Hello again Matrix, Thanks! It is very tied to the setting, but should be easy enough to take what we give you and make your own adjustments. Arcanis, for example, doesn't have the cuddly Gnomes most gamers are familiar with. They are misshapen, grotesque creatures that are the result of a human and a dwarf (who happened to be Cursed by the Head of the Human Pantheon). But the rules are flexible enough for you to create the more familiar version of gnome if you really wanted to. ;-) Magic must be cast and if you pile on too many adaptions to the spell, it may fail. We have a saying in Arcanis: "There are those who follow the Will of the gods and others who usurp it." Divine magic or Cants are memorized by rote, thus they have very little wiggle room for manipulation or adaptions. And why should there be? These Cants are perfect as they were taught to the first priests by the Gods themselves. Sorcerers/Magi usurp the Will of the Gods by pulling in the residual energy left over from the initial Act of Creation and mold it to their Will. Thus Arcane casters get to manipulate their spell more, but they are equally harder to cast. Besides they have the Harvesters of Ymandragore hunting them down and enslaving them for their Sorcerer-King and there's also the fact that channeling that much power will eventually kill you (the Wasting Death). Note: There's no actual mechanic for this- its just a role playing hook. Yes we do have a FATE point system. We are carried by all major distributors in the US, Canada and Europe, so you should see the book (depending on the shipping schedules of the European Distributors) sometime in late July? That would be my guess. I die a little inside every time I hear something like this. My friend, Arcanis has been around since 2001. We're an Origins, Ennies Award Winning World Setting and have been running the Living Arcanis campaign for 7 years where we GAVE away over 150 full-fledged adventures. In fact, we're GIVING AWAY - that's right FREE - the Codex Arcanis which is the de facto world Setting on our website as well as on RPGNow. Its a 256 page PDF, check it out. Nope see above. Best,
