When gunpowder made the heavy armors obsolete, the light quick blades came into their own.</p><p></p><p>D&D doesn't really account for that, unless you use the old 1st Ed "Weapon vs Armor" tables, which were insane. In terms of blade speed though, I'll take the Rapier every time.</p><p></p><p>2 hands adds to power, not to maneuverability.</p></blockquote><p></p>
