Firstly: Thank you John Crichton for pointing out Gameoutfitter so long ago... I got my case from them on Thursday...one day after I even heard it shipped! Two big thumbs up! I ended up missing 9 or so rares from my one case. This weekend at ConnCon I picked up 2 more boosters and got one of them, and I got 4 more through trading. The only oddities I had was that I got 2 Vrocks (silly, cartoony looking. Blech. I'll stick to Reaper's), 2 Unicorns, and 3 Gauths...who are abso-dang-lutely hardcore in the mini-game. Wowza! I think the quality has defintely improved on the paint jobs. The halfling ranger and wizard look FAR better than the cruddy Lidda from Harbinger, which is great considering their size. Comments of specific minis: - Silver Dragon: Buh. Todd Lockwood art come to 3d. Beautiful. - Githyanki Warrior: Got lots of them and I am happy...they look great for not being a rare, and they are handy in the Mini-game - Unicorn: Looks great, but why purple? They coulda done the manes a better color. My girlfriend (who helped me open them all up) held it up and couldn't help but snicker. :) - Aspect of Bane: I love the mini. Doubles as an outstanding ogre-mage. - Aspect of Lolth:Makes for a GREAT drider...and her reach of 3 is huge in the mini-game. - Demogorgon: Somebody FEED that boy! He looks like he'd snap in two in a hard wind...and then the other demons on the schoolyard would laugh at his broken, purple and teal body... - Ragnara (um..shouldn't she have mee Ma'vkarith or something?) Looks great! A unique female-warrior mini that makes me want to create the PC to match her. - Githerazai: I have a million of em, but they are very accurate to the pic in the MM. - Dragonslayer: I had to flip over his stat card to confirm he wasn't a dearf or something...must carry a big sword to compensate for his height (Ragnara is like a foot taller than him) - Champion of Elistraee and Drow seargent: Both are a great step up from the existing 2-D drow minis. Better poses and paint jobs. - Drizzt: It may be just me, but he had one of the cruddiest paint-jobs that I found... Overall: I'm dang impressed. If they keep up the quality shifts, I WOULD pay more for these...but they better keep making improvements if they are gonna raise the prices... -Rugger "I'm Addicted!"
