Archon Disciple

Hey there assembled gamers, I am in need of help.
I am putting together a cleric and came up with a really good story, now I need the mechanics to make it work. Essentially I am looking at a cleric that I wish to have a PrC for. My goal is something like a combination of the Divine Agent (from Manual of the Planes) and Dragon Disciple. Essentially, I want at the end of the Prc to become a Solar or Archon. Essentially a PrC to allow a PC to ascend to the rank of Angel. Do you think this is possible? Do you think this is Epic Level? What do you think?

More specifically, here is what I have looked at. Both of these PrCs that I mentioned (as well as other class abilities) allow characters to become Outsiders with some special abilities. Or (in the case of the DD) more powerful creatures. I like the themed bonuses of the DD, but the ability increases do not fit the concept I am going for (though would not go against it). I would prefer more spell like abilities. I would like to keep Cleric Spell progression at least every other level. The Divine Agent already cuts into it, but that I think is fair. Here is what I am thinking of, tell me what you see.

Hit die, Armor & Weapons, BAB and Save progression remain as priest. Spell progression every other level. The "godgift" given in the DA PrC replaced with an angelic ability. Actual transformation and wings would come at level 10.

any suggestions?

Thanks for your reply. I went and looked at the Half-Celestial template (well and the Celestial template) and I think that is what I am looking for. But I do not know what the ECL for that is. The MM lists it as base creature +1 for Challenge Rating. But it can't be just a +1 to class level. You get enough cool stuff that if you were starting 1st level you would have to take an ECL of at least two, maybe three. I think it is as powerful as the drow, or maybe the deep gnome. Is there an offical listing of that?
Essentially I would want to spread it out over the 10 levels of the PrC so that it would allow some other portions of the Divine Agent PrC.
Anyone know? any thoughts

On my website you will find a prestige class called the "Chosen of Asura", which might be something like what you are after.

Wow! that was almost perfect!
I will have to adjust it just a bit for campaign. (the dieties are mostly D&D standard with a bit of Glorantha and DM fiat thrown in for flavor.) The character I am working this for is a servant of St. Cuthbert and so the extra domains will not do much good (he has 4 total.) so I may trade them out for abilities from the divine agent.
Do you mind if I rip this off directly?
Thanks again.

Hmm, I don't have my DMG handy, but I remember the Half-Dragon Template is worth 3 or 4 Effective Character Levels, but it is "only" CR +2.
I think the Template might be worth 2 to 3 effective character levels, so there is still plenty room for other abilities in the other 7 class levels. :)

In Dragon, Half-Celestial is +5. Remember, if you want to gain the template as a result of a Prc, you do not get the ECL penalty, because you already sacrificed 10 levels to do, that and you don't apply ECL to things that happen in game, like Lichdom.
