Are the Modern Talents any better than feats?

I was wondering whether it would be viable to use the Talents from D20 Modern as 'Feats' in a DnD game and so want some opinions on whether the Modern Talents are any better than feats

I can't see them being overly powerful in comparison so see no trouble in porting them wholesale into DnD

anyone agree/dissent?

NB Moderators - I was tossing up about which board this should go on , and since it concerns both Modern and DnD opted for here - hope that was the correct choice;)

Most seem about on par with the weaker half of feats. So, it shouldn't be too big a problem and they do have some interesting chains.

I think it fits here fine. :)

Some of them are more powerful than respective feats - for instance the strong character's power hitter talent tree is effectively slightly better weapon specialisation which stacks. Any of the 'add your level to...' talents are way off the feat chart.

They vary widely.

From the 'action point' powers and the ones that scale with level being off the chart for powers, to things like the Strong Heroe's ability to ignore an object's hardness, which is almost not even worth a feat.

Some are too good, others are *really* bad.

So it does vary quite a bit...
